Fajr Film Festival screens Daesh film ‘Truck’

Story of Izadi woman gone homeless by Daesh terrorists competes in the 36th Fajr Film Festival.

Story of Izadi woman gone homeless by Daesh terrorists has competed in the 36th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Iranian director Kambuzia Partovi’s latest film ‘Truck’ screened during the 36th Fajr Film Festival in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on Friday.

‘Truck’ recounts the story of an Izadi woman who becomes homeless after the Iraqi ethnic and religious minority is attacked by Daesh forces.

The film stars cast members Nasrin Moradi and Saeid Aqakhani.

“By this film, I intend to say that we could be good supporters for each other during hard times and giving the refugees shelter could be viewed as a practice of humanity,” Partovi said.

The acclaimed director of the drama ‘Café Transit’ went on to remind that “everyday people... are fleeing their homes under the fire of wars to take refuge in other countries.”

The 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival is being held in venues across Iran from February 1-11.
